Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, Anitha Radhakrishnan, was caught on camera being carried by fishermen to save his slippers from getting wet.
The DMK minister was in Palaverkadu to investigate sea erosion and had taken a boat ride.
When the boat came to the shore, the fishermen placed a chair in front of the boat so that the minister could get off. However, seeing his hesitation to get his shoes wet, the fishermen carried the minister to the dry land.
The video has gone viral on social media and people are criticising the minister over VVIP culture.
